1. Introduction & Overview

Awaaz ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Awaaz Android mobile application and associated digital services available officially on Google Play. We are dedicated to maintaining the trust and confidentiality of our users. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and protect your information when you interact with our audio streaming, Readium e-book reader, curated news feed, and loyalty rewards system.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Credentials & Profile Data

When you create an account via Firebase Authentication or Google Sign-In, we collect basic profile details including your name, email address, profile photo URL, and unique account identifier (UID).

B. Voice & Audio Data (Microphone Permission)

Our application includes an optional Voice Search feature powered strictly by Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer API. When activated, spoken queries are transcribed into text search terms on-device. We do NOT record, upload, store, or sell any of your voice or microphone audio recordings on external servers.

C. Loyalty Rewards & Session Data

To compute your Reader Loyalty Rewards, our application measures active reading and listening session duration. Point balances and tier levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum) are stored securely in Cloud Firestore and linked solely to your user account.

D. Device & Analytical Diagnostics

We collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic logs (device model, Android OS version, crash logs via Firebase Crashlytics) to ensure stability across different hardware form factors.

3. Third-Party Service Providers & SDKs

To deliver studio-grade audio streaming, e-book layout rendering, and secure authentication, Awaaz utilizes industry-standard Google Play compliant SDKs:

Google Play Services & Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore profile storage, and FCM notifications.
AndroidX Media3 & ExoPlayer: Native media streaming engine with background playback service.
Readium Engine: Open-source, standards-compliant EPUB and PDF reader rendering.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Complies with Google Families and Play Policy guidelines.

4. User Data Control & Account Deletion

In strict adherence with Google Play Developer Policies, all users have full sovereignty over their personal data and can request permanent account deletion at any time:

        In-App Deletion: Open Awaaz → Settings → Tap "Delete Account" → Confirm deletion.
      

Account deletion permanently wipes your profile data, loyalty reward history, and authentication records from our systems within 30 days. You can also review our dedicated deletion guidelines or submit a web request directly via delete-account.html or by emailing our privacy desk at Mrshahbaz365@gmail.com.

5. Rewards & Non-Affiliation Disclaimer

The Awaaz reader loyalty rewards and redemption program is independently administered by Awaaz. Google LLC is not a sponsor, endorser, or partner of any rewards, sweepstakes, or voucher redemptions within the Awaaz application.

6. Children's Privacy

Awaaz does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has provided information without parental consent, please contact us at Mrshahbaz365@gmail.com and we will immediately purge the record.
